So, what is a serum? 

Renowned as a powerful concentrate of active ingredients, serums have light and ultra-sensory textures that, quickly absorbed by the complexion, penetrate deeply to transform its quality. In other words, with different purposes, you can choose the care that best suits your needs (prevent and/or treat wrinkles, sagging, blemishes…) and even blend several serums in a single routine. 

The serums for each skin type

Normal to combination skin. Here, we recommend that you opt for moisturizing care that not only reinforces the barrier function but also brightens the complexion. Choose, for example, products enriched with hyaluronic acid. 
Oily skin. Characterized by excessive production of sebum, this type of skin needs purifying and moisturizing care. Therefore, benefit from compositions with antibacterial actives and purifying essential oils. In addition, the formulas should be non-comedogenic, which means that they do not clog pores.
Dry skin. With insufficiency of lipids, dry skin needs nourishing serums to balance its hydrolipidic barrier and recover luminosity and elasticity. In this sense, prefer care products rich in moisturizing, nourishing, and antioxidant actives.  
Mature skin. With different needs, mature skin requires a serum with effective multi-action against wrinkles, sagging, opacity, and hyperpigmentation. The most popular compositions contain, for example, retinol, hyaluronic acid, and glycolic acid, among others. 

How to use it? 

First of all, cleanse your skin properly using a cleansing gel/mousse as well as a toner. Next, apply two to three drops of the facial serum to the skin while performing a gentle massage with circular movements. Finish by combining it with face cream and sunscreen (the last one in the daytime routine).
