La Roche Posay Toleriane Teint Concealer Pen-Brush corrector for localized imperfections of sensitive and intolerant skin
Sensitive and intolerant skin often has changes in skin tone, which can cause some discomfort. Redness, pigmentation variations, and darkening of the eye contour are some of the most common imperfections of typically sensitive skin, which due to their nature, show through more easily. To complete the beauty routine for sensitive skin, La Roche Posay offers the Toleriane Teint Concealer Pen-Brush Correctors. There are 4 pen brushes with 4 shades that aim to immediately correct the main healing imperfections:
- green brush to neutralize reddish tone imperfections
- yellow brush to correct blue tone imperfections
- and 2 beige brushes to camouflage and unify generalized imperfections
The formula
Like the rest of La Roche Posay makeup, the Toleriane Teint Concealer Pen-Brushs are also formulated according to a strict list of ingredients in order to guarantee maximum safety, and high tolerance, without compromising effectiveness. Hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and formulated without parabens, these brushes have pigments of mineral origin and smooth formula for easy application. The pigments melt into the skin and neutralize imperfections for an even finish.Â
Choose the best brush for your imperfection
Redness, rosacea, birthmarks, or inflammatory acne
These imperfections have a reddish tone that must be neutralized with a green corrector. This is because green neutralizes red, and provides a finish close to the natural skin tone.
Vascular, bluish and purplish dark circles
The skin around the eyes is thinner and more vascularized, which leads to the appearance of bluish or purplish dark circles. These tones are neutralized by the color yellow, which is why the yellow corrector brush is the best option to use around the eyes to disguise this type of dark circles.
Acne marks, hyperpigmentation, vitiligo, melanic dark circles, or “panda eye”
There are some imperfections in the skin that come from excess (or absence in the case of Vitiligo) of pigmentation. In these cases, as neutralization is not possible, “camouflage” is used. And the Beige Brushes have coverage without weighing down the skin. Allowing you to build the level of coverage you want.
How to use La Roche Posay Toleriane Teint Concealer Pen-Brush?
The corrector brushes can be applied directly to the skin, previously cleansed and moisturized. Or as a make-up complement, and in this case, used in combination with a makeup foundation.
- Redness Corrector or Yellow Concealer Pen-Brush
These two brushes have neutralization functionality. So they should be applied on clean and hydrated skin but before makeup. The brush has a dispenser at the base, which must be turned to release the product. In the first uses it may be necessary to rotate a few times until the corrector appears. Use the brush to apply the corrector over imperfections. You can then blend it in with your fingertip for a more natural effect. Apply the makeup foundation on top.
- Beige Concealer Pen-Brush for Fair or Olive Skin Tones
Depending on the imperfection, the best shade can be chosen based on the following criteria:
- Light beige concealer ideal for camouflaging hyperpigmentation and melanic dark circles in fair skin, or to illuminate the face in strategic areas in darker skin.
- Medium beige concealer is ideal for camouflaging imperfections in darker or olive skin tones. Can be used in combination with the Light Beige Brush to contour the face.
In both cases, as the objective of these concealers is camouflage, they must be applied after the makeup foundation.
