Behind it were the entrepreneurs Franz Greiter and his wife, Marga. Together they developed a brand dedicated to developing advanced, luxurious sun protection technology for everyone who wanted to enjoy life in the sun. 

This is because, in fact, PIZ BUIN was one of the first to provide a safe tan by implementing the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) system. That only came about in the 1960s. Later on, products with triple sun protection and Vitamin E were launched.
