With fine and sensitive hair, a victim of the aggressions induced by her profession as an actress, Paula Kent teamed up with her hairdresser Jheri Redding to create what would become one of the most successful and respected brands in the world of hair care, Redken.

Founded in 1960 has emerged from the need to create effective yet gentle products that would not cause allergic reactions to those with sensitive skin. Very quickly, Paula realized that there was little or no training regarding the chemical composition of hair and skin. Therefore, certain of the crucial importance of training, they created three products along with an intensive training program for hairdressers.

Today Redken is seen as a revolutionary brand, favored both by professionals and clients. Its highly respectful and innovative approach makes it a leading backstage beauty brand.

Its formulas

Developed based on three principles:

  1. Protein technology, since this is the main compound of the hair fiber;
  2. An acid pH that complements the natural characteristics of hair and skin;
