Avène XeraCalm A.D, high-performance care to soothe the skin. When dry skin becomes synonymous with discomfort to the point of itching, in adults and even more in children, it is no longer just a question of hydration: the skin’s barrier function and its comfort must be restored.
XeraCalm A.D. skin care products are specially designed for atopic-prone skin.
Greater effectiveness
A tailor-made active ingredient for atopic-prone skin: I-modulia. It took twelve years of research to develop the first unique and multi-competent biotechnological active ingredient derived from d’Avène thermal water:
I-modulia.
Formulated based on this patented active ingredient, the XeraCalm A.D range is extremely innovative, safe, and effective, suitable for the face and body of babies, children, and adults. This extraordinary active ingredient acts directly on the elements involved in atopic eczema and in particular on pruritus.
Enhanced Security
In order to keep only the essential ingredients for the skin and dispense with any preservatives, our laboratories have developed a unique process: Sterile Cosmetics. This unique technology allows the product to be kept sterile and free from external contamination throughout its use.
Thus, the XeraCalm A.D. gives atopic eczema-prone skin the respect and security it seeks.
How do I know when to use Lipid Replenishing Balm, Lipid Replenishing Cream, or Smoothing Concentrate?
The Lipid Replenishing Cream and Balm are used daily to limit and prevent skin dryness and itching. On the other hand, the Soothing Concentrate is applied locally to immediately relieve intense itching. It’s the SOS product to always have with you! Whether in balm or cream, adapt the texture to your skin type or season: balm if your skin is very dry, cream when it’s less dry.
How can I relieve facial eczema?
Quickly soothe your skin with a compress with d’Avène thermal water: spray the water on the compresses and leave them on your face for 10 minutes. In case of itching, apply the Soothing Concentrate regularly, including on the eyelids if necessary. In case of irritation, use a Protective repair cream once or twice a day. And, as a preventive measure, moisturize and protect your skin with a lipid-replenishing cream or balm at least once a day.
How can I reduce the frequency of my child’s eczema flare-ups?
Simple but essential daily gestures limit skin dryness and restore the skin’s barrier function. In this way, outbreaks become less frequent. Here is our advice: opt for gentle hygiene with Cleansing Oil and warm water between 32-34°C and make sure that your shower or bath does not exceed 10 minutes. Hydrate and protect the skin with a lipid-replenishing cream or balm at least once a day, even when the skin problem seems to be under control.
