Cerave moisturizing lotion protects, restores and moisturizes effectively the skin of face and body. It is a light, non-oily lotion, that moisturizes and comforts throughout the day. Indicated for dry to very dry, itchy or irritated skin, with tendency to atopy and psoriasis. Developed by dermatologists, CeraVe formulas are accepted by the US National Eczema Association. The formulas are also developed with the MVE technology (Emulsion MultiVesicular technology), that promotes a controlled and continued release of the assets throughout the day. This ensures the hydration and comfort of the skin for over 24 hours. This lotion’s formula gathers a composition rich in highly restructuring and moisturizing actives. There are 3 essential ceramides in the formula. Ceramides are a natural fat present in the cells of the skin epidermis. They are responsible for restructuring, strengthening and protecting the barrier function. As a natural fat, they avoid dehydration of the skin, since they “trap” the water inside the skin. Another key ingredient of this formula is hyaluronic acid. This fundamental element is also naturally present in the extracellular matrix of our skin, owning the ability to give it support and firmness. It also retains water in the deeper layers of the skin.
